A VERY SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

This year, the Society of Jesus in the Philippines will celebrate the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2009.  This is in commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Return of the Jesuits to the Philippines.  Very Reverend Fr. Adolfo Nicolas SJ, Superior General of the Society of Jesus, will preside over the Holy Eucharist to be held at the Ateneo de Manila High School Covered Courts.

CLC units in the NCR and nearby regions are wholeheartedly invited to attend this very special celebration!

The GC 35, which elected Fr. Nico as Superior General, made special mention of the CLC:  "The Christian Life Community has roots that are deep in the history and charism of the Society.  We wish to continue to support CLC in its journey towards even greater apostolic effectiveness and collaboration with the Society." (Decree 6, Section 28)

It would honor St. Ignatius and please Fr. General Nico and our Jesuit friends and partners to see a large delegation of CLCers at the July 12th celebration.  We hope to see many of you there.
