Dear Friends in the Lord,

For the last several years during July, as we journey to the Feast of St. Ignatius, the Formation Institute has provided reflection points and prayer prompts to help us enter more deeply into the source of our spirituality.

This year we would like to approach the journey to the Feast of St. Ignatius a bit differently since our world community will hold our 18th World Assembly in Amiens France from 3 - 12 August begging for the grace "Lord, help us go forth; show us the way."

We would like to use our journey to the Feast of St. Ignatius to co-journey with our World Assembly delegates: Rose Bautista (April Fools and National LC President), Kenneth Chua (Hungrily and National LC Treasurer), Tinnah dela Rosa (Compassio and a nominee to the World ExCo), and Fr. Mike Pineda, SJ, (National EA).

We will journey with them through two activities:
First, we will co-journey with them using a formation material "A Journey of Amazement to Witness" that was developed by Tinnah. The material is divided into four parts, with each taken up during meeting. Your local community can use your meetings for spiritual conversation on the fruits of your prayer.

Second, we invite all CLC members to participate in "Celebrating Our CLC World Identity: Missioning Our Delegates to the 2023 World Assembly". The event will be on Saturday, 22 July 2023 from 3-5pm over Zoom. The event will include short inputs and a missioning Mass.

Alongside the formation material for communities, we also recommend the 31 Days with Ignatius reflections developed by You may wish to reflect on them alongside the formation material A Journey from Amazement to Witness.

Our month-long activities will culminate with our regional celebrations of St. Ignatius Day on July 29-30 (details will be announced soon). This will be our first in-person gathering across the regions and will be an opportunity for us to strengthen ties within the regions.

May we have a meaningful celebration of the Feast of St. Ignatius as we pray for our World Assembly 2023 to draw us ever more deeply into God's desire for us and our being a Discerning Apostolic Community sharing responsibility for mission.

In Christ,
Your Formation Team
