Dear CLC Communities, Guides, members, and friends,
Peace of Christ in this season of Lent! In the spirit of hopeful anticipation and unity, we invite you to our CLCP synodal journey by joining us for two special events to be held on March 25, 2023.
I. World CLC Day Celebration
As one national community, we invite you all to join our "World CLC Day Celebration" on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 3:00 - 6:00 PM via Zoom
The World CLC through Projects 179 identified the theme as: "Called to live with a hope that is joyful, active, and creative!" Let our 77+ communities take this opportunity through zoom to come together as one in this nationwide celebration!
To help make this event truly grace-filled, may we request you and your community to undertake the following pre-work before the 25th:
a. To pray and reflect on the attached material: "Projects 179: Called to live with a Hope that is Joyful, Active and Creative."
b. To send us: (1) a recent picture of your local community (please include the name of your local community, where you are located, and the names of your members; (2) your community's message of hope to CLCP in response to the theme. You may simply complete this statement, "We hope that CLCP will __________".
Please send this to us by using this padlet link: bit.ly/worldclcday23padlet no later than March 22, 2023. All the photos and messages will be presented in the introduction of our communities.
II. CLC World CLC Day Commitment Ceremony
By tradition, our members make their temporary or permanent commitment on World CLC Day. To help members discern whether they are being called to make such commitment at this time, we invite communities to make use of the Discernment Commitment Module (attached here).
The Commitment ceremony will be part of the Eucharistic Celebration at 4:45 PM to be presided over by Fr. Ben Sim, SJ, NCR EA. While the World CLC Day and Eucharistic celebration will be via Zoom, those who would wish to attend the Mass in person are welcome to join us at the Xavier School Chapel.
Our program of activities for World CLC Day will be as follows:
· Welcome Remarks by CLCP President
· Introduction of the World CLC Theme
· Opening Prayer
· Introduction of Communities
· Input/Talk followed by Guided Contemplation
· Breakout Group Sharing, Plenary Summary
· Eucharistic Celebration with Commitment Ceremony
We hope for a good response to this invitation. Kindly register your attendance by clicking on bit.ly/clcpworldclcday23. May we ask that those concerned signify their intention to make an individual commitment, or to indicate willingness to be a facilitator for the group sharing.
We enjoin you all to pray with us for the Our Lord's grace and the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, whose Feast of the Annunciation we will also celebrate, for the success of our CLCP World Day celebration as well as for community celebrations around the globe. Thank you and may God bless us all!
In hope and joy in Christ,
National Leadership Community
